Passau encore
We have boarded, but we have not left Passau. We sail tonight. I think I will let the pics guide the commentary today.
This is the old Passau town hall. It is now the tourist office. One possible reason that it is no longer town hall is the flooding.
As you can see here, the Danube has flooded quite a few times. All of them would have flooded the town hall. The most recent - and second highest - was 2013.
The doors in Europe always amaze me.
The shops may be touristy, but some are just fun.
And I prowl some of these for ideas for my own woodworking.

It’s my turn. I don’t have much to add, since not much happened today. We were in port at Passau, which we had explored yesterday. The fortress was closed and it was foggy, so there was really no sense in climbing the bluff. We ran a couple of errands in the town and then spent the day on the ship, having dinner with a couple of millennials from Houston who are on their honeymoon - surrounded by people the ages of their parents!

| This is Dan in front of the old Town Hall. The lines on the building mark the water lines of Danube floods. The latest one was in 2013 and is second from the top. |

I am enjoying following your trip day by day. These are places I haven't been to. Keep up the good work and enjoy!
