Triberothenich

The title is in the best style of making German words - just shove them all together in one long word.  So that is Triberg, Rothenburg, and Munich squished up.

With normal words like Haftpflichtversicherung (liability insurance - I am sure we ignored it when we rented our car), how the hell can any German play Scrabble?

Rothenburg was pretty cool.

We went to the Medieval Crime and Punishment Museum.
Learned some more about our lack of humanity.

Guide to water torture

A shame mask that a convicted person might have to wear around town

An iron maiden (not the rock band)

A dunking cage

I think this is a stork nest.

The market

And on our wall walk this morning before hitting the road

After our wall walk and getting gas, we hit the road for Munich. It snowed most of the way.

The Munich market was somewhat of a letdown. And I am sure that those in the booths were ready to close up for the season.

As for the Hofbrau House, it was fabulous - the food, the atmosphere, the servers carrying multiple steins of beer, yet another schnitzel, and the oompa band. The Hofbrau House was where my dad bought me my first (legal) beer in 1977. Pretty cool.

I did not remember that the Hofbrau House has regulars, who use their own beer steins.

Those steins are locked up!

That's it for Christmas Eve. If you celebrate it, I wish you a very merry Christmas. And to all, a good Knight:
